listen, I’m ’bout to drop some words,
‘Bout a movie called Idlewild, where the rhythm’s absurd.
Imagine this, my friends, a slam poetry performance,
Straight from my mouth, raw and improper, no adherence.

Idlewild, it’s a flick that’ll blow your mind,
Set in the Prohibition era, where music’s intertwined.
Andre Benjamin and Big Boi, they take the lead,
As Rooster and Percival, two souls with a need.

Rooster’s a hustler, a man with a plan,
Percival’s a shy pianist, with dreams in his hands.
Their lives collide in Idlewild, a juke joint so grand,
Where the music’s alive, and the beats command.

But this ain’t your typical movie, no, it’s so much more,
It’s a visual feast, a poetic uproar.
The story unfolds through slam poetry’s embrace,
With rhymes and rhythms, it sets the pace.

The words flow like rivers, painting pictures in your mind,
As the characters dance, and the music intertwines.
It’s a celebration of art, of freedom and expression,
Where the beats and the verses create a soulful session.

Idlewild, it’s a journey, a rollercoaster ride,
With love, loss, and redemption, all side by side.
The cast is stellar, the performances divine,
From Terrence Howard to Paula Patton, they all shine.

So, if you’re ready for a cinematic experience like no other,
Where slam poetry meets music, and it’s all a smother,
Idlewild is the movie that’ll make your heart race,
With its improper, raw beauty, and its poetic grace.

So, come on, my friends, let’s dive into this world,
Where words become music, and emotions unfurl.
Idlewild, it’s a masterpiece, a slam poetry delight,
Straight from my mouth, as I perform it tonight.

Clocks and watches have always fascinated me. The concept of time and its connection to our lives is both intriguing and sometimes overwhelming. Chronometerphobia, the fear of clocks, is a word that resonates deeply with me. In this blog post, I want to explore the significance of time, the fear associated with it, and how we can overcome it to live more fulfilling lives.

The Fear of Time:
Chronometerphobia, or the fear of time, is a highly personal experience. For me, it represents the fear of not using time properly, of wasting it or not accomplishing enough. This fear stems from two main reasons: the fear of consequences connected to the end of a season, and the feeling of inadequacy or the belief that we lack the ability to complete tasks or achieve our goals.

Time Management and its Importance:
Time management is crucial in overcoming the fear of time. We often hear the saying, “time is the only thing you cannot get back.” While this is true, there is another element that is equally important: energy. Just like time, energy is a finite resource. How we utilize our energy within the time we are given is crucial. It is essential to understand that everyone’s approach to managing time and energy will be different, so it is vital to identify what works best for ourselves.

Living in the Present:
Anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues often accompany the fear of time. However, one way to alleviate these struggles is by managing our energy and embracing the present moment. No matter how long our journey is or what stresses we face, the most impactful time in our lives is the present moment. It is the only moment we have any influence over.

Clocks and watches may symbolize the fear of time, but they also remind us of the importance of managing our time and energy effectively. By overcoming chronometerphobia and embracing the present, we can alleviate anxiety and depression, leading to a more fulfilling life. Remember, time is time, and the most impactful time in your life is the moment that exists right now. Embrace it, make the most of it, and live your life to the fullest.
