As I sat down with Loren at The Foundry Coffee Shop, I couldn’t help but feel excited about the journey we were about to embark on. We were there to discuss the transformative power of mentorship, drumming, and writing, and how these tools could be used to serve individuals, families, and communities.

Enjoying the work I do from a place of passion. It is an honor to connect my foundational coping skills with service work that allows healing. Both mental health and physical barriers. Drumming is the ultimate medicine. Oh, and writing. These two modalities are a gift of holistic movement.
As a provider of T.R.A.P. learning, I have seen these modalities of combining sensory techniques with call and response practices. The individuals that this program serves have a range of barriers from physical mobility barriers to cognitive distortion.
