Culture ETX

Culture ETX

I have been. recently told about this place that exist in a crner section of the downtown square of Tyler, Texas. This place that I found to be filled with culinary bliss is called Culture ETX. It is hard to describe the vibe because their specialty is “we wake and say I wanna make fresh humus and pita bread today or did you see that sign for butter beer, I want to make chicken with that flavor”.

I was eager to try this place out because a good friend of mine told me that they have one of the best burgers he has ever had. I always trust the food opinions of Mr. Uriah Hall. “They have other things that are spot on as well”.

So I wanted to be open to the menu as I walked in I didn’t know what to expect. The vibe was inviting as it was accompanied by the individuals behind the cook area that match the presence of “homecoming”. “Have a seat man”, “welcome”. I was exciting because on the menu was crawfish mac and cheese. For those who have read my “sea food discovery” blog entry then you know that I found out that I could eat sea food like 3 months ago. crawfish mac and cheese is something that I had always considered to be a boujie mythical meal that never really existed, Lol. Well I just knew I could never try. I was quite elated when I saw this on the menu. As I took my first bite I was caught off guard by the crispy texture of the combination of flavors as the crawfish married the at least 3 types of cheese and the texture of the pasta created this soft exterior. Each bite tasted different and felt different. As if my tastebuds wern’t already in heaven. They hit me over the head with fresh pita bread and humus. Im not much of a hummus person but every now and then I come across one that my palate can agree with. This hummus took me to a place that I have never been. Prepared by a gentlemen of Jewish culture. It was done with love. I have never had hummus before.

So fresh and so clean tasting!
